reflections on a plane

From where I look, these rivers and lakes - they shine
pure gold
bouncing back the sun's radiant light

Does even Murry's murky brown show such pure radiance
restored lives through the dry
dull landscape
connected
giving life

mundane from below, brilliant as it reflects
vibrant gold shine predictably
inconstant
a life's illuminate, struck differently in time and
perspective

molten gold specks pepper the generally
murky landscapes
some give mere sparks lighting across their surface

even building tops have splendor when
properly illuminated
