It may be cliche, but pregnancy is very exciting. Last week a dear friend (one of the first people I left my baby with for any length of time) invited me into her nursery to take some photos as she prepares to welcome a new family member.

I know that E will make an awesome big sister.

I suspect she will be much more interested in conversing with him when he has arrived in person.

Of course, Dad already has the little guys NFL preferences planned out. I would rather see some blue and black ... but it isn't my place to make those decisions for other people's kids '-P



And Mom has been reading him stories.

All in all - we can't wait to meet the little guy.

Silver Love

One of the things I love about both of my jobs is that I get to spend time with really fun and interesting people, Jon and Doleen are a prime example of that. I don't remember when I first met them, but for as long as I can remember they have been the sort of customers I am thankful for every time they walk in the door, thankful for their sweetness and appreciative for how much their love reminds me of my Grandparents - in fact at my other job they are best known and Gram & Gramps, bringer of amazing baked goods.


Since he is a veteran, we paused a moment in front of the navy seal. I love that he wore boots instead of ordinary shoes.



Jon has jokes and anytime he wasn't looking adoringly at his wife, he was teasing her to make her laugh.

Or threatening to jump fences ...


All in all, it was a lovely afternoon.

I hate cilantro. I am not entirely convinced that I have the gene that makes it taste like soap - we just don't get along. However while I was pregnant it didn't bother me - and let me tell you, these tacos were high on my favorite foods list.
