I got to hang out with these two ladies just before someone's 6th birthday. It was, of course, delightful. I really enjoy the years where a person is not too cool for silliness. And of course I love seeing how much she loves her Mom.
a place to share adventures in textiles, photographs, cookery, and whatever else strikes my creative fancy

Laura & Andrew - Engagement
I couldn't tell you how we met, but for large chunks of high school Laura and I were basically inseperable, so much so that she has been adopted into my crazy family. After high school she stayed part of the family but we have about 800 miles between us most of the time so you can imagine how excited I was to be able to spend some time with my dear friend and her fiance.
He seems to bring out the best in her, and he certainly brings out the smiles. I can't wait for their wedding this March!

1 year
One of my favorite things about being a photographer is getting to peek into the special moments in other people's life ... like this little lady turning one. What a sweet girl and a fun family - if I am not a bum, I will let you see more soon (if I am a bum I will give the images to her family and get distracted with some of the editing backlog I have neglected and I sense the interwebs will survive '-P)

love smush
I have a confession. Although I love love love taking photos, and I enjoy editing them, but I hate winnowing through all of the images I shoot to select the good enough ones (I tend to overshoot). It has taken what feels like centuries to get the images from the Bremner-Hay wedding down to a manageable pile, but now that I am getting to play around a little while watching a little bit of Star Trek in the back ground things are fun. Those housework is suffering but it is fun.
I have hopes to post a nice overview; but for now it will just be dribbles. Hope you enjoy them.

Maternity photos with Bekah and Miles
I got the privilege of meeting Bekah when she was a freshman at WU forever ago. She is one of those sweet joyful people that are always so refreshing to be with, and Miles is her high school sweetheart. It was such a thrill to meet up and take some maternity photos for them before their family officially expands (hopefully around June 9th)

Also still not loving how the new blogger format ... I will probably just figure out a way to bypass it altogether.

The fifth year
Meet Jessica, Jordan, and Daisy. This weekend Jessica and Jordan are celebrating their fifth anniversary and a dew weeks ago we got together to take some photos. They are such a sweet pair, with a sweet puppy.

As an aside, I am struggling just a little to get a handle on the new blogger format so my posts may look a little wonky.

A second teaser
I have made a lot of progress but I am not yet ready to do a full post about the time I spent with these two lovebirds. So you will just have to accept a second teaser.

Uptown Love
I was very excited to finally be able to meet and photograph Matt & Abby. We had a fun time outrunning the rain as Abby showed me around her stomping grounds in Uptown Charlotte. Rather than narrate the evening we spent together, you should just look through it and know we had a lot of fun. Matt kept us laughing and Abby kept leading the way to fun places.
